359 is very good but itās not earth shattering by todayās standards. I am pretty sure he has posted greater than 360 before. I know Lionel, Magnus, Rico have.

NB Harper did not DNF: he ran a 1:15, >3 minutes faster than his three year 70.3 half marathon average.

Well that video encourages me never to run a half marathon without socksā¦ and also makes me glad I put those Asics I was carrying around the store back on the shelf last weekā¦
And I just saw his comment that he was wearing socks. Damnā¦
What ??? OK now thatās messed up. Ariās blisters were already something that seemed āout of this worldā but we could kind of āblameā it on the āno socksā thing (although many do sockless in 70.3). But blisters like that with socks ? Did they wear the same shoes ? No doubt theyāll talk about it on the podcast, and canāt wait to hear it, hopefully they treat this not only as a joke.
Anyone know of anyone else whoās been having these issues ? This is crazy.
I had the same blisters from wearing the Rays in Texas. I certainly wonāt be using them again.

Dang, pretty detrimental feedback with so many having these issues! Just not stable and especially so when wet so the foot slides everywhere? What do you think is going on?
I donāt see any socks around him while heās sitting at the finish. Just his shoes.

I honestly donāt know. My arch was warm in a training run before the race, but not enough to worry about (famous last words, huh?) But the blister set in pretty quickly in Texas. Iām sure the wet feet made it worse, but i even put dry socks on before the run.

Did Ari run in the Rays or the Pumas today?
Either way he smoked that course. His swim cost him an easy win.
What happened to Sam? He blitzed out of T2 to take the lead but was quickly reeled back in and finished 4th. Maybe back to back races was a big ask.

He smoked Gulf Coast 70.3 as an amateur a couple years ago when i raced. We were all like, Who Da Fuk is this guy? Then I saw he was a college athlete. Big win today for him. Ari running a 1:07 is crazy as well.
