Anyone been to Guatemala? Thinking of going there for an extended visit to see the sites and practice spanish.

Definitely. Lived there and have visited several times.
But I agree with geetee on holding out to see how the political situation pans out. My daughter and I were planning on a trip in March but decided to wait. We may still go, but aren’t buying tickets or making reservations until February at least.
