We went backpacking last weekend. On the long car ride out we stopped at McD’s for lunch. I didn’t notice the Grimace shake until after we ordered but we did see a guy wearing a “happy Birthday Grimace” t-shirt. Couldn’t tell if he worked there or was just really into Grimace.
After two days on the trail I told myself that I would grab a purple shake if we stopped on the way back. We went to Wendy’s instead and they didn’t even have Frostys.

I know I missed out on the 80’s as life and work got in the way, but the current absurdity to this culture war is not worth the effort to get up to speed. I am not insensitive to all the new gender variations, but I do welcome the "give the old man a pass card " that my daughters still afford me when I slip up and ignorantly use terms that are no longer socially acceptable. My ignorance may not be blissful, but it will have to do.
