Oh, I bet Twitter will be going nuts since Beyoncé just won the best country album. And Kacey Musgraves was pissed. Though from what I’ve heard about her here, she’s not a pleasant person to work for.
I must be listening to a broader musical spectrum because I’ve actually heard of most of the people nominated for the major awards.
Ummm, Shakira
Yes, she looks pretty damn good more than 20 years after she first came on scene.
What a great show! Really impressed with the [edit:] staging and effort of all the new artist nominees.

The new artist category was very tough. There were 4 or 5 of them that I wouldn’t have minded seeing win.
Five Grammys were awarded for calling Drake a pedophile.
“Not Like Us”, alone, has won as many Grammys as Drake has in his 20 year career.
Not that I’m a prude or anything and as a heterosexual male what’s not to like but what the actual fuck was that “dress” Kanye’s wife was wearing? How was the legal to wear in public?

Naming the album Cowboy Carter does amplify the criticism of cosplaying.
But so much pop crap now is labeled country that I can’t single her out for it. Generally I dislike her music and singing in particular. Her association with Jay-Z doesn’t help much.
I believe it was posted around here that it be called “Tennessee Glam” and I am all for that
I haven’t listened to country radio in close to decade, once it fully moved to pop. And I might have held out too long!
