I was just watching the CNN report about the missing high school senior in Aruba. Terrible situation. Her parents are amazingly strong and at least appear to be holding up well. It’s terrible though. I fear the chances of the woman just showing up become more and more remote by the hour.
I’d like to think she’ll be found or just return. Failing that, perhaps she had an accident in the water the night she disappeared. It seems somewhat unlikely that crime was involved given the general, sort of “feel” of Aruba.
At any rate, we have two guys from here graduating this year. All the normal fears apply: That alcohol use will be involved, car accidents, the whole nine yards. It seems lie a graduation season never passes without some terrible, utterly avoidable accident.
If you know people graduating from College or High School, keep an eye on them. Remind them to be careful.
