Wondering if anyone has found a good app that lets you download a bike route and then provides turn-by-turn navigation.

Firstly- if you haven’t downloaded the new Google Maps app for the iphone- it’s terrific, and provides turn by turn audio.
Now- will it upload a bike route? hmmm. not really. but if you have a google account and log in, and then create a route on your computer with the browser, I believe you can save it and bring it up on your phone. haven’t tried this, but since it’s google, I’ll bet it’s easy and it works. The new Google maps is still kinda’ in beta though.

I suspect the problem will be that it uses Google Maps, and Google Maps doesn’t (to my knowledge) know the difference between bike trails that are suitable for road bikes and those that are not.
