Goodr Sunglasses -- Quality running glasses, reasonable price (Just a happy customer)

Just a happy customer sharing a link to a recent purchase. Saw them in runners world, through $25 at a pair and after a few runs can say they are a solid purchase.

I love the look and vibe of the glasses and have ordered a couple of pairs. However, something about the lens and the polarization makes me nauseous and I can’t wear them. I emailed them to return them explaining this and they totally understood and gave me a complete refund. Here’s the thing. They told me to keep the glasses anyway and just give them to someone. Gave them to my son and he loves them.

I have gone through a couple pairs…here’s my 2c.They are light and super comfortable and I sometimes even wear them cycling. Here’s what isn’t great and why I won’t buy another pair…the mirrored coating gets ruined super easily and then renders them unwearable.I was wearing my last pair while riding on a “misty” day and when I stopped to clean them off on my jersey I ruined the coating.None of my higher end type glasses have done that(and I always try to take care of them-I have kept some Oakley’s and Tifosi’s for years that way).
That being said maybe others have better luck with them.

I recently picked up a couple pairs and will be posting a video review soon on them. In short, I like them, but I think you have to take them for what they are: They’re cheap, throwaround glasses with some nice running features. Quality wise, they don’t hold a candle to my Oakleys or Smith glasses, but they’re also way, way cheaper. I kinda dig it. Expensive glasses sort of annoy me as it’s another thing I’ve come to have to ‘watch out for.’ If I rip the goodrs off my face after the end of a long run and break an arm, or drop it and scratch a lens badly, oh well, $25. Sure, that’s a big of a consumerist/throwaway/disposable attitude, but the alternate view is that maybe not everything needs to be super high end perfection. Maybe good enough means good enough. That’s Goodr for me. They’re comfortable, they do their job, and they’re cheap.

Had the same issue with the blue mirrored version. They sent me a new pair. I have one of the black and gold lens version and had no issues.

I’ve used them in half and full marathons, half and full IM runs with no issues. No bouncing or slipping. Plus, if you loose them or break them you won’t cry the blues like a pair of Oakleys.

But have you heard about Rokas sunglassses? Ha

I had the same thing happen. They got wet then rubbed against a towel and the coating came off. Otherwise I really liked them but they didn’t last long. Smith’s and my tifosi’s pohtochromics still the faves.

I like the fit and the price. I find they fog up relatively easy though.

Tifosi Swank glasses.
Same price point much, much better quality.

They’re cheap throwaway sunnies. Marginally better than ones you buy from the rack at a grocery store.

I like my Goodr’s but the Swanks look a lot nicer. Thinking about picking up a pair as a backup to my Roka’s.

I recommend the similar Peppers Sunset BLVD. They cost a bit more (maybe $35), but are very well made, comfortable and have polarized lenses. I like the shape a bit better as well.
