That seems pretty nice. I have a real problem counting laps.

x2. Learning to use the clock on the pool is good if you’re swimming a lot. Also, a suggestion to the OP is just to swim more. You’ll get the hang of counting laps in your head without forgetting. There are a lot of tricks. Sometimes I count 100s, as they’re a lot harder to “miss one” than 25s.
There’s usually at least one really big clock on the wall, which you can see while you are swimming. As long as you know roughly how fast you are swimming and glance at it every 50 or 100, it also makes it really easy to keep track of how far you have swum.

save you money and for short intervals use the lane lines until you get the hang of using the clock.
thanks for the suggestions…only reason why i would like a swim watch is because I tend to lose count on my laps especially when I’m swimming anywhere between 3000-4000 yards…it’s easy when I’m swimming masters because I can just ask the coach how many yards we did…but when I’m doing a straight swim…i tend to lose count…
“Timely” question. My trusty Timex Ironman HR monitor watch has just died after 9 years. The only thing I didn’t like about it was its bulk. Anybody have any good recommendations for a thin sports watch? Don’t really even need HR – I rarely used the feature. And anyone want to buy a Timex HR transmitter?
