Good songs for running - spinning

I just got 30 day music download and want to load up my new MP3 player.
I would really appreciate if anyone can suggest a few of their favorite tunes for running/spinning.
I have an eclectic taste in music - from wolrd music to classic rock to electronica to neo-goth. I just can’t remember all the things I’ve heard and liked!

Everybody has their own tastes - for me it’s classic rock (60-80’s) and R&B.

For all occasions: U2 - Beatiful Day, City of Blinding Lights

If you want to run/spin fast: NOFX - any of their songs; Nirvana - most of their songs

If you want inspiration: Black Sabbath - Ironman

If you want to run faster: Eminem - Losing yourself (I LOOOOOVE THAT SONG!)

To enjoy a run and fly: Red Hot Chili Pepper - Snow
.

My “all-time” favorite pump me up workout song is White Zombie’s “More Human than Human.” I also like Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock “It Takes Two.” Another good one is Dave Matthews Band “Too Much.”
.

I listen to everything from trance - djs like John Digweed, Armin Van Buuren, Sasha etc to Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse. Intervals courtesy of Rammstein.

Blink 182- Damnit
Ringside- Struggle
Default-count on me, all is forgiven
Flogging Molly-If I ever leave this world alive
Foo Fighters-Everlong, My Hero, Monkey Wrench
Further Seems forever- Pride War
Mest-Cadillac
Midtown-Just rock and roll
Motion city soundtrack-Capital H
.

Try
Serj Tankian, Avenged sevenfold, Ayreon ( 010001 ) … Systematic Chaos by Dream THeater is not bad too …

I consistently fall back on the following Artists (kinda in order of use):

Transplants
Dropkick Murphys
Social Distortion
AC/DC
Beastie Boys
+44
Kid Rock
The Who
The Rolling Stones
Sublime
U2
The theme song to the movie Holes

I like techno stuff but do not know much about it so I do not have any on my Ipod - anyone care to suggest a podcast or something?

I tried using the Smashing Pumpkins last night but had to switch to The Transplants after 2 1/2 songs

I use podrunner podcasts sometimes.

They are club mixes (electronic) but set to different heart rates. Good for mindless background music on a run.

Thanks for all the suggestions! (to everyone)
i am going to look into all of them. I haven’t heard of some of these, or wouldn’t have thought to download some of the others.

U2 and Coldplay have some good ones, but for me the best song is “Synchronicity” by the Police. It really gets my legs movin.

Metallica. Black album. Perfect for 2x20s on the trainer.

I’ve recently started listening to audio books while running. I don’t know why, but I actually like it more than listening to music. And I used to be very against running with headphones. I’ve changed my stance now, I just keep the volume low enough that I can still hear.

I use Suffer Now #2, 4, and 6.

I am not kidding. Sea shanties are a fuckin’ hoot and haller! They have great rhythm and they are fun to sing to yourself. Give them a shot .

I like vocal trance stuff. I usually don’t know the names of anything so I listen to www.di.fm and just type in the lyrics to find the song.

I ran to L7 tonight, the entire Hungry for Stink CD.

Music like that just fuels my fire.

Disturbed- almost everything from them, same with Linkin Park. Mostly on my long runs though, I listen to ironmantalk and sometimes simply stu, depends on his guests.

I usually stick to more classic stuff, but I am really like the remix of Calabria (the one feat. Mims & Natasja). It’s raggae/club-type stuff.
