Good riding around Kamloops, BC?

I will be in Kamloops next weekend and looking to get in one of my last long rides before IMC, but I don’t know the area at all. Can anyone here give a few suggestions?

Bump just in case there is actually a ST member or two from Kamloops that missed this thread =)

Spoke n motion also has a group ride on sundays, some really fast roadies, but they are a nice group and do the hammer then wait for everyone.

Are you there august long? Too bad as we are going to Whistler for 4 days.

Swimming 6am tuesday, and running 5:30 pm in Kamloops (last long run 2:40-2:50 with some longer tempo)

Call me if you have any questions, I’ve ridden every road around here for the past 16 years.

Thanks! Those looks like some great rides! Yes, I’ll be out there August long weekend.

I sent the tri club a quick email about possibly joining up with their group ride and asking for some info etc, so I’m sure I’ll have riding options out there.

Thanks again, looking forward to checking out the area!

The Westsyde Road ride (first one) is really great. I do it 5-6 times a summer - hardly any cars and nice rolling terrain.

Maurice - can you do the Duck Lake ride by going on the other side of the river and crossing at Pinnitan Bridge (ride on Shushwap Lake Rd instead of Hwy 1)?

Honestly not sure if, we usually just go the service road to the Vernon highway turn off.

Only about 14km on the trans canada, which has pretty good pavement, since they put the new stuff down last year.

I’ll ask my buddy Derek, and PM you he just did the sun peaks cross ride that way.
