Can somebody recommend a good ride in the 40-50 mile range (or 2x 25 mile loops) near Newport, RI? Travelling there this weekend and need to get a ride in on Saturday.
Also, any good beaches for swimming would be helpful as well.

Riding around the actual island of Newport proper is actually a great ride in that you can see some of the awesome old mansions of the Asters and Vanderbilts and so on. What you might enjoy more would be riding north of there in the area of Tiverton to Providence; a lot of really nice roads that have that New England feel. All of it is fairly clear on MapMyRun.com; the Mansions are all on the South part of the island on Bellevue Ave. Check out The Pier restaurant for dinner if you get a chance.
