Where the heck do you find the stretchy, fishnet mesh bandage retention dressing we used to use back in the day?
This is the open, fishnet stuff that is white that stretches over your arm or leg to hold a dressing in place but remains flexible and does not use tape.
I thought it was called “Stock-I-Net” but I searched on that and it wasn’t what I was thinking of. It is commonly used to treat burn patients.
Anyone know what I’m tlaking about and/or where it could be found?
If i am right about what tom is asking for stockinette is much thicker… we use it as an underdressing for splints and casts… has the feel of a thick t-shirt… not fishnet like
I personally have never seen the fishnet stuff outside of the sports realm

We used to have it in our First aid/Trauma kit, but it disappeared several years ago. Try a hospital suppy house. You should be able to order it online from them somewhere.
I’ve (unfortunately) had to use it quite a few times…Surgilast. I ordered it from some Med/PT/DC supply house. It’s washable/reusable, but it gets pretty gunky pretty quickly. Good luck.
If I was looking for something of that nature, I would head over to the Family Meds Pharmacy in Redford at 5 Mile and Beech Daly (formerly Kingsboro Pharmacy). They have all of that kind of stuff, or could get it for you.
Tom
Yes we have it at the dialysis unit I work at. I don’t remember the actual brand name. I will fine out on Monday and PM you if you want. You could try medical supply places in your area.
PS: We have a couple of different sizes.
