What a great game for for the Turtle! The safety call was horrible. Too bad that Sam is finally comfortable as the QB, and is done after this year. He really had the best game I have ever seen him throw and showed real poise in the last drive. Impressive! Wonder where they are going bowling? Gotta love the Fridge!
I forgot the defense, they where awesome.
I’m really glad to see that Sam is settling in (a year late, oh well) and that Fridge is feeling comfortable with him. I’ve been complaining and complaining that Fridge doesn’t feel safe with him and so the plays are limited, and he had abandoned the option.
But it’s back! The option is back! And it’s of course working, and Sam is smart and fast enough to make it work well.
The defense is getting better and better as well. Wilson is making big plays in the secondary, Erin Henderson (although small) is making lots of great tackles (he’ll make a great Safety in the NFL). And Navarre has come out of nowhere to become another good hybrid Lineman/LB for the Terps.
I saw the end of the Terp game - exciting finish. We were taken to the game just after my WI Badgers beat up on Penn State. Sadly we also took out Joe P (head coach).
Anyone notice that the Illini played the Buckeyes pretty tough? … well, at least on defense they played pretty tough.

I didn’t even bother watching this game, I’ve heard Illinois is bad that I assumed it wouldn’t be worth viewing.

I’ll be sitting on the 50 yard line at that game. I expect it to be a very warm and friendly environment for Wake.
If either team is still in the hunt for the Atlantic division championship, it’ll be a miracle. Both teams have tough stretches.
I agree - it is kind of sad that they can’t fill that stadium against BC when both teams are top 25. I think Wake still has Florida St, Va Tech and Maryland. I can see Wake dropping all three.
Of course, they will sell out Basketball games against Stetson.
And boy are they gonna STINK this year! I’m worried about MD too, it could be ugly. Season starts tonight and we don’t know yet who our PG is going to be.
I have a lot of friends who went to Wake, and the working theory is that Wake has been so bad for so long at football that the local community doesn’t know how to react. I’ve been to a few games in recent years, and went to one this year and the students are still fairly ho-hum about it. I think App. State is still more popular.
They did it again! Ugly and without half of the starters from Miami, but they did it. The defense is again the hero, the offense is painful to watch, but they did it. BC next week! Hopefully Wake will lose tonight!
