GLP1's usage by athletes

The Prison Industrial Complex

This is a good book

I’m making an effort, when I recommend books, to link directly to the author or publisher, so you can purchase them there & bypass Amazon, whichever way you see fit; I use bookshop.org which passes 10% of the purchase price on to a local indie bookstore of my choice

This is such an annoying take. Yes, there are better metrics than BMI, but any other metric you choose has a strong correlation with BMI. BMI is being replaced, but it has not lost its relevance. If your BMI is 35 and you’re not a bodybuilder, you’re very likely obese.

Looking deeper in the Grelach use… Retatude is still clinical. He is getting paid for a clinical study and advertising for them. Its sad what deep dark rabbit holes the post pro life can take someone….

Where did he say that he is getting paid to participate in the study and advertise it?

Let me correct myself. Not in the study. He ordered from underground lab. Is he making money off this? From his blog post “15% off Evolve Peptides Coupon Code - Use code thomasgerlach “

I get that we all have to put food on the table and not all these guys are wired to get into coaching after they close their career, but yeah, I would be careful with advertising supplements under testing or development.

when was that last time you where in a common supermarket where like 70% of the food that is sold is a long way from what you are talking about ? ie most people eat way to much processed foods. way too much sugar etc etc
I do agree with Andrewmc that just telling people that is not going to work, but to buy unhealthy food (including sweetener )should be taxed to pay for the costs that it creates.

Meanwhile there are guys like this clown promoting himself as a “peptide coach” and triathlon coach and encouraging people to work with him to improve performance with peptides.

The peptides he’s “discussing” are banned by WADA.

Why does the majority constantly have to be punished because of the minority? I know it’s super easy for governments to hide behind such ideals to excuse yet another tax grab, but here’s a shocking idea.

How about rewarding those who do the right thing and incentivising those who don’t to change their ways. Subsidise healthy food, gym memberships, sporting events etc.

The only Motts thats approved by WADA, which also has vitamin C

That’s happening with social prescribing - my PCP / GP can fund gym memberships

:joy:

A portion of my fueling definitely come from fruit snacks

Thanks @RandMart …I suck at picking up books and reading them. The Dorito Effect audiobook releases on Spotify Premium in August…just pre-saved it.

What you will see, what we are already seeing is people will take a GLP 1 then add in a low dose T and low dose HGH. The GLP1’s will counter the negative side effects of the T and HGH. Go to the gym and lift some, do a little cardio and in a bit your fifty something year old self will be looking and feeling like your forty something year old self.

Can a 45 year old-ass look like a fit 30something with this approach?

Asking for a friend. :grimacing:

Yeah I fall into this camp and agree. There are no short cuts in life without consequences.

This to me is incredibly wild (insane). I’m no longer doing triathlon and just focusing on gravel riding, still running, swimming and just got a new mtn bike. Enjoying doing alot of fun activity, but for pleasure, not racing. I really am glad 2025 saw my last 70.3. I do think a lot of athletes are taking T. But HGH too? I mean how do you even obtain that? And are doctors easily dolling out these fat drugs to anyone even if they aren’t that fat? Gosh I miss when people did it the old-fashioned way: work hard, cover the basics (eat wholefoods, get sleep, self care, massage, keep stress low, etc).

While I miss racing I also don’t miss racing. Like you I just ride to stay fit and (hopefully) not get dropped too bad by the kids when I ride with the two bike racing teams I coach.

HGH, T & GLP1s are pretty easy to get. Just roll into any doctor office that does lifestyle medicine.
