Looks like Visma is using the Aerohead TT helmet sans visor as an upleveled aero road helmet for the classics.
Hopefully this motivates Giro to come out with an updated (lighter?) version. Probably the death knell for the Vanquish.

The Vanquish is already dead for a couple of seasons, since the Eclipse has proven faster and better ventilated. I don’t think Giro is releasing a new “shielded” aero road helmet anytime soon, but who knows?
Agreed that the Vanquish really hasn’t had a reason to exist for a while. Giro was still selling it though. Looking on the website they are down to two colorways and some sizes are out of stock, so it looks like they are finally done producing it.
Teams using the Aerohead in road races shows just how seriously pro teams are treating aerodynamics these days. Those same teams/riders would have laughed at anyone doing this just two years ago.
I’ve read a few aero road helmets comparisons recently, and, generally, the difference between fastest and slowest was ~10w, with the Giro Eclipse always sitting in the middle of the pack, but resulting one of the best ventilated. So possibly, Giro has already reached the best compromise between aero and cooling. IMO, Giro will release a new aero road bike not earlier than a couple of years, as soon as the Eclipse looks will begin to be obsolete.
MET, the helmet contractor for UAE team, is sticking, as aero option, to the Manta helmet, which is a ~10 y/o design; then possibly there isn’t a lot still to be gained there
