Giro Aerohead replacement retention system?

I have a Giro Aerohead (MIPS) and the retention system’s dial recently broke off. Well, the website says that the aerohead uses the “roc loc 5” rentention system, but after looking at that system, it doesn’t seem like that system is a direct replacement. The one GIro is now selling doesn’t wrap around the entire interior of the helmet; rather, the rear of the retention system is identical (e.g., the dial), but the arms only seem to go halfway around and snap into the sides of the helmet. Mine doesn’t have a spot for that… Do I just have an incredibly outdated one?

I have an aerohead (size M) I just crashed at a race Sunday. Scuffs on the outside of the helmet, but no foam compaction/breakage and the inside looks pristine. LMK if you are interested in the retention system (I can send pics to see if it will fit). The rocloc does wrap all the way around.

Please do! Is it a MIPS helmet? They’re are apparently two different systems.

Contact Giro customer support. I had a similar issue with my Aerohead where the dial froze up, making it impossible to adjust the helmet. I contacted them trying to find the correct replacement part, and instead they just replaced the entire helmet. No charge, no questions asked. All they asked me to do was ensure that I cut the helmet straps on the old helmet to make sure nobody would try to use it.

I had same issue at the weekend with my Giro Aerohead MIPs retention fastner
It broke and helmet kept falling across my face while in a triathlon.
Contacted Giro and after few emails and still in warranty they sending me out new helmet.
Question has anyone got the retention section of a crashed helmet as I’d say it’s easy fix to replace.

The MIPS liner and retention system are easy to remove/install.

I sent the OP mine from my crashed helmet, so you just have to find someone else who had bad luck in a race ;(.
