Did anyone ever try this? There seems to be a clear coat that prevents the decals from coming off. With my Selector they came off very easily. I want to remove all the decals for a clean look.

I tried and couldn’t get them off. Ended up taping over them then sticking a logo on top of that.
Yep, I was able to do this successfully. I used a hair dryer and heated up sections of the decal at a time and would peel them off. It is a little slow going, but it should remove all of the decal using that method. Then just use some goo gone to wipe off the remaining adhesive and you are good to go.

I have the normal mips matte dazzle Aerohead. (Pics attached in link) I can add more when I get home. There is no residue or anything to show that there were ever decals on the helmet after removal.
