Everyone at LBS, plus myself, all agreed that the cables to front brake was the only mistake on the bike. IMO Giant needs to address this and likely will in future models. I’m sure the ideas the 5 of us came up with were likely already covered off by engineers during the design phase. I’m guessing they had a long list of reasons why this was an acceptable route to take.
I’m doing my best to ignore that part of the bike. At least they could have put it on the non-drive side so the pics would look better!
Really it is awesome i just hate how it is cabled.
Agreed, same with all these caliper-behind-the-fork bikes…no-one’s figured this out yet. Having said that, I coulda sworn the prototypes of these when they first came out had some intricate routing exiting the downtube…guess it was too impractical for production.
Since it’s just arrived I haven’t had time to look at the option of hiding the di2 part that’s attached to the brake cable inside the fairing. For now it will stay outside since it allows you to enter the adjustment of the derailleur. It also tells you when battery is 50%, 20%, etc. If the nosecone is easy enough to remove I’m hoping to hide it inside the fairing and check on it once in a while. Then we might look at how tight we can make that brake cable to hide it as much as possible. For now it stays as is, once I’m done drooling I’ll worry more about the rest!!!
You can hide it in the nose cone. Look at the pics of mine in the classifieds. just charge the battery on a regular schedule, like every 1st of the month or something.
What seatpost clamp for the water cage you use? I just got my Trinity and just got an xlab to hold a cage between the aerobars when i warm up for a TT.
Is your chain long enough? It goes without saying your bike is awesome but I’m just wondering if you have any difficulties going to a lower gear the back (cross-chaining I know)

The seatpost clamp came with the bike. It can hold up to two cages in the back. I didn’t see any name on the bracket.

Chain was setup for the 11/23 cassette that came with the Zipp wheels. On these wheels I have a 12/25 and it wont’ go into the 25.
But the di2 is amazing in how the FD trims automatically as you move up the cassette while in the big ring, and vice versa when in the small ring.
Chicken told me to say nice bike does it come in a man’s colour? ;o)
Nice looking bike, that’s it I’m quitting my job and opening some ice cream shops. We’ll have to get some rides in this yr, besides you deserve a treat for having to live with the in-law while the house gets built. Paul was in last night and showed him the post. He’s got me thinking Calgary 70.3 now…hmmmm.
