Get up

Alison’s newest article really hit home (again) this time, especially as the days have shortened and the weather turned. It’s too easy to hit the alarm clock to off, and just roll over - embracing the comforts of a warm bed rather than the cold (and often wet) world that awaits.

I’ve all but signed up for an early season half to force me to snap out of this training funk I’m currently in, so this piece was just what the Dr. ordered.

Thank you Alison, your timely reminder of “what it takes” was exactly the little bit of prodding I needed.

The bed has too strong a grip on me in the mornings - so my training is in the evenings instead.

Just trying to get out of work now so I can go for a run.

Did exactly that last Sunday morning. Missed our 8 AM swim.
