Gatorade Pro Scoop Size

A serving size is 1 1/3 tbsp (50 cals), but the scoop is 1 2/3 tbsp. That’s 25 percent more in the scoop, which can be a lot over the course of an Ironman. Is my math/thinking wrong, does it not matter, or do people use their own scoop?

We’ve weighed this on a scale, but I also just checked & the scoop that comes w/ the Gatorade Pro (ie Gatorade Endurance) is exactly 1 & 1/3 Tbsp on the nose. It’s possible (although would be extremely strange), that the scoop in your container was a different scoop - but if you like, give me a call/e-mail & we can get you another scoop.

BTW, why are you worrying about the scoop size of Gatorade on Thanksgiving?!? I can think of MANY other carb sources that I was consuming yesterday :slight_smile:

The only reason I thought the scoop was 1 2/3 tbsp was that there is a note on the Gatorade label that says that the scoop is 1 2/3 tbsp. Knowing the scoop is only 1 1/3 tbsp will make creating my own 1 1/3 tbsp scoop and enduring the endless ocd comments of my family unnecessary…so thank you.

I was leaving my house for an early morning long run to help put a dent in the obscene amount of turkey/stuffing/pie that I ate…and decided that reading a Gatorade label was a good pre-run activity.

Great catch as the label is incorrect! This is actually the 2nd time we’ve encountered an error on their label…I’ll follow-up w/ Gatorade & let you know what they say.
