How do garmin watch warranties work if I get the watch, unopened, off ebay? Id like to say $80 and get it in an auction, but if the warranty is invalid cause i dont have a receipt or somethin then ill spend the extra cash
garmin warrenty product sold by a autorized dealer only. Ebay isnt one.
They replaced my 310xt and I bought mine of ebay, unopened. Did you get an email invoice from the seller and was is a “store” and not an “individual”?
I work for podium imports, one of the two canadian distributor of garmin fitness line. I m in charge of warrenty for garmin product in canada. I do refuse any warrenty claim from ebay auction. I never came across a warrenty claim like yours where a invoice was supply. It would be easy with this invoice to see if the seller was a autorized dealer and find out why he is selling using auction… Garmin dosnt supply any auction retailer and while you might have slip into the system, we are very firm at supporting the autorized dealer.
It s definitly a harder job to do in usa but in canada, it s a lot easier to know what unit is from autorized dealer and what is from ebay auction.

na i didnt get one yet anywhere. deciding factor was whether the warranty would hold getting it from ebay or whatever.
