Garmin vector shoe rub

Finally moved into the Power Meter field with a set of Vector 2’s. Mounted them last night (be careful) and found that had some shoe rub on the pods. Tried to move cleats but had them all the way to the inside of the shoe already as per my SPD’s previous. Anybody else deal with this other than moving cleat position totally?
Any assistance is great (other than sell and buy Brand X PM instead)
Thanks

Maybe I’m having a hard time visualizing… But on my Vector 2’s, the pods point down away from the shoe so there is no chance of them rubbing? (At least that’s what the video and manuals had me do and they seem to be accurate when I mount them that way on my bike with the Power2Max meter (no, I don’t run them there, I just did it one time to compare. ))

I had to move my cleat on the right side. With toe covers on, my right foot was touching the pod and throwing the power readings off on the high side. It is a known issue on Garmin forums. Head there and search.

You can move the pods right up against the crank. I did that after one of my many switches from my road bike to my tri bike and once left too much of a gap so my foot was brushing the pod and was actually giving me some weird power data. After I moved the pods, problem gone.

I get the rub as I come over the top. The pod is facing down at the front pedal position, but as I come over it rubs.
I am not getting weird reading yet and have the pod pushed against the crank. Thinking I might just slide the cleat back to see if I can get a better gap.

Are you using any washers between the pod and crank arm? If not, or you are only using one try putting one or two in between the pod and crank arm.
