Anyone else having issues uploading to Garmin Connect? It goes through the motions then gives me the “failed due to server error” message. Hasn’t worked since Wednesday.
It’s a 310xt I’ve had for over a year and never had any issues before. It worked fine Wednesday. I have changed nothing.
I think it might be the site because I’m having issues too. Very slow to upload, keep getting the same error message you have been getting. I’ve been trying to upload data from this morning’s ride and its uploading really weird data and showing I rode in Germany. I live in the USA and that is where I was this morning!
I heard from someone else that was having this problem to go ahead and update your ANT+ agent on your computer and it resolved it for them. The person I heard from had a uber-old version, historical almost.
Had the same trouble yesterday. Worked fine once I downloaded the new firmware for my 310xt. I hadn’t upgraded in a while though, so that may be coincidence and not anything meaningful. If you need to upgrade firmware make sure you have synced your device with the Garmin ANT Agent first even if it is having trouble uploading to Garmin Connect. The firmware upgrade for my 310xt wiped all of my old settings and deleted my history. Once everything restarted Garmin Connect synced automatically and without any issues. Good luck.
Mine’s been acting up for last couple days too (310XT - Macbook). I have to use “Upload” button on Garmin Connect to get workouts to transfer properly.
No upload button for me in safari so doesn’t matter what firmware is on the device.
I’ve heard from users who don’t have it on certain version of certain browsers (IE7 for example). If you have a different browser, or can update to the latest (if not already there), give it a whirl.
To the user who lost everything - the files are actually still on your computer in the ANT+ agent folder, so once Garmin Connect finishes having it’s ‘really bad weekend’ (I just saw an update from @GarminConnect on Twitter which basically stated that the American Idol bad day song is on repeat), you’ll be able to upload those files.
Let me know if you need pointers to the raw files on your computer.
After two weeks of issues and three calls to Garmin Support, I’ve given up trying to do any uploads from my 310XT (via IE9, Chrome, or FF) to GC. I’m no rocket scientist, but I feel like I’ve done more to troubleshoot and prove that all my issues are simply a result of issues with their server’s & code than they’re initially willing to admit to.
Then to get the Vector press release (oh please, don’t get me started on that disaster), what in God’s great name does Garmin think would persuade anyone to still want to drop another dime on one of their products??? Get the one’s they’ve sold to work first, NO? My 310XT keeps freezing up (and does have the latest FW installed), won’t upload any ‘Custom Workout’s’ I build & run/record (and that’s if I’m even lucky to even get the regualr workout’s to upload), and then they’re telling me to factory reset the watch and check this, that, and the other with my PC!!!
GARMIN - FESS UP AND POST A NOTE ON GARMIN CONNECT TELLING US WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH YOUR SERVER’S and CODE AND WHEN IT’ll BE FIXED!!!
