I have 2 older Garmin speed/cadence sensors and one pair of the newer speed and cadence sensors. I have been using them with a forerunner, but am considering a dedicated bike computer. Was considering the Garmin Edge 520, but have been reading a bit about the Lezyne Super GPS, which is quite a bit less expensive. Is the Lezyne compatible with the Garmin sensors?
BTW, Any thoughts on whether this is a wise choice?
As long as the Lezyne transmit to the ANT+ standards, then there should be no problem. I don’t think Garmin (who own the ANT+ standard) have done anything, or would do anything, to prevent other ANT+ devices from connecting.
While I like the extra display of the 520, it’s hard to argue with the price of the Lezyne and the connectivity with the iPhone, if desired, with turn by turn guidance, if needed.
