Garmin Fenix 6 S Pro decent Multisport alternative to the 945?

Given its lighter weight than the standard sized Fenix 6 is the S version a better alternative for multisport? Being similar in weight to the 945 but offer the more rugged and every day looks of the fenix series it looks like it may be a decent option. Like the look of the Fenix series but the added weight is off putting.

Yes, plus it doesn’t look like a 1980’s Casio watch which is a plus if you wear it all the time. I doubt you will notice the weight difference in the real world.

Yes, my personal categorization is that the Fenix series is the 9xx series with style. The guts are essentially identical. So, if you want a watch with a more polished daily wear appearance, go for the Fenix.

It used to be that the Fenix S was more the equivalent of the 745 (in screen size, resolution, & battery life) and the standard Fenix was the equivalent of the 935. However, it looks like they bumped-up the entire Fenix line, so now the S is the equivalent of the 945, and the standard and X are on steroids.

Yes, I just made the switch for those reasons and cause I got itty-bitty wrists and the 6s just fits better.

The only trade off other than a bit more $, is a “little” bit less battery life, but with the 6s’ power management suite I figure that’s actually closer to a wash.
