GSC 10 died and Garmin hooked it up with the new magnetless versions.
The cadence sensor has about a 3 second delay on the Edge 510 it’s connected to. Is there a setting or something i’m missing here? It is super annoying to be at a complete stop and have it still show 50… then 35… then 0 as my current cadence.

That’s normal although the delay for me is about 1 second with my Edge 510. Are you running the latest firmware?
I now don’t use this sensor on road bike now that I have a power meter. I use it on my mountain bike.
Shot in the dark, but does the 510 allow the user to select between Smart Recording and a user specified interval? If so, try changing it to 1-second (or less).

My 510 has a choice of Smart or 1 sec. I changed it to 1 sec. and the problem still persists. Is this the way it just is? Was the GSC 10 just a more accurate device?
I’m not an equipment designer, but I suspect it’s a drawback in using accelerometer based measurements. I also noticed the slight lag increase when moving my Quarq to Ax cadence. My P2M, using Ax cadence, also has a cadence lag - it’s about 3s.
