Beat me to it! Insane price of $1500.
$1500 for a GPS wearable.
Wow.
That’s like the budget for a front wheel…
Wow. But, I do not think these are intended for athletes. These strike me as dress smart watches for people who like the athlete theme. And, Apple proved that people will spend a crapton of money on a smart watch. Plus, Suunto has had some pretty rugged, fashion sport watches for a while at premium prices, so Garmin might as well jump on that bandwagon.
More like a whole wheelset budget.
That will look nice paired with Nikes $1200 sun glasses!

Agree. I think this is a really really bad move from Garmin. Why would you want to be training with a stainless steel or titanum watch rather than what they already have? I don’t see myself anywhere near buying or even considering this.
What the serious fuck?!?!?
they’re going to sell a bunch of them. the watches look nice and there’s loads of triathletes swimming in cash. if $1,500 were a trivial amount of cash for me, I’d buy one in a heartbeat. i already wear my fenix almost 24/7. if i had to dress in a suit every day, this would be a no brainer.
I think it’s probably for the people who are very very anal about keeping track of their steps and heart rates 24 hours per day, but don’t want to wear a regular activity tracker (e.g. vivosmart) because it doesn’t mesh with the C-level boardroom milieu

Right, well I would argue that this will look just as idiotic wearing it while running/swimming/biking as your fenix does in a suit.

Or Normatec Boots! Which one has a better bang for the buck?

Besides, maybe Garmin made this in the hopes that the high spending triathlete will replace their Rolex with one of these. I say go for it and good luck to them.

Agree, interesting. I attend regular c-level meetings but i’m not a C level guy. Always wear my V800. The good thing about it is that even if it doesn’t mesh that well with a suit or business clothing… it’s always a conversation starter (what is that… blah blah blah…). Sticking to it
$1500. I would choose Tag Huer, Oris , even a Rolex. Those hold value and not go obsolete in 1 year.
$1,500 for a watch, with software that hardly ever works.

Well Normatec Boots are worth their weight in gold. Although they are expensive, and the Air Relax is 1/5th of the price, regardless both systems are cheap when you think of the cost of massage or injury prevention. $1500 watch isn’t going to be do much over $350 gps watch other than like some other says, maybe fit in well with the suits.
Because you will look less stupid than wearing a 920XT as your daily watch.
