Costco is going to have the 305 in their coupon book about the 14th. of Nov. for 149.00 great deal
That is a great deal. I bought mine there last holiday season for $179
I was just about to purchase one for $220 when I decided to check ST reviews one last time and found your post. Thank you very much.
Can it be purchased online and do you need to be a member like Sam’s Club?
chris
Yes online. Currently the price is $199, presumably it will drop to $149 when the “sale” starts. I’ve never seen it in store only online.
You do need a membership. It’s $35 / year. Well worth it in my opinion if you shop there (and why wouldn’t you?) if nothing else then getting gas at their gas stations…
Sounds great. The only problem is that there is only one Costco in the area and it is 45 min. from here. Don’t think I will be getting a membership for that reason. Too bad, because I am looking for a 305 and that is a great price.
chris
do you get many prints made? Their prices for prints/enlargements are crazy cheap, and they have free shipping. I’ve more than made up my membership by printing photos there.
Same with me… 45 min drive. But I buy stuff online from them (like my treadmill recently), and my wife uses them for photos. Over the course of a year it works out (assuming you buy online sometimes…)
Either way… $149 + $35 is still cheaper than anywhere else…
…oh and i’m pretty sure you can cancel your membership anytime and get a prorated amount back…
But I love the costco, and their open ended return policy on most items… (like my old treadmill that was 19 months old).
Everyone knows someone whos a costco member have them pick it up for you and yes same online price.
Has anyone checked in their Costco yet??? I looked online and it is now priced @ $159.00…is it cheaper in the store??
I’m getting myself a Christmas gift early…so I want to do this soon!

In costco stores with coupon from their book 149.00 starting Nov. 17th. official date
my costco says 199.99 online 149.99
.
I called 3 Costcos and the sale starts Monday the 17th. With a coupon $149.99. I guess the coupon is in the flyer at the door? I’m in. My Polar 200 is down to 1 button and it’s 4 years old and I deserve something new. I haven’t bought anything much this year and my wife says I’m good to go for Monday. I hope I’ll be able to sleep, I’m so excited.
ps What software do you reccomend?
You can purchase without a membership online. There is a 8 dollar surcharge plus tax if there is a costco in your state. Not sure if this makes still a deal for someone or not.
Costco.com now has it for $159.99 which includes shipping and handling. Tax is extra…
Just got mine delivered via Costco.com…now I’m off to find a deal on the cadence sensor…AND learn how to use all the functions of this machine!!

I really like the idea of a GPS to give me some freedom to run where/when I want to (and still know distance and pace). Don’t really need an HR monitor, though. I already have one and rarely use it anymore. Would the 305 at this price still be a good pickup, or is there a GPS-only unit that would make more sense for me? The reviews for the 305 talk about improved accuracy, but I’d be ok with anything that gave me distance within tenth of a mile.
I bought my cadence sensor on ebay. New, in box at 1/2 retail delivered…
There’s the garmin 205, which is similar without the HRM. But it’s $143 on amazon. At $160, I don’t think you can beat this watch (if you are looking for GPS functionality).
Just don’t use the HRM… still the best GPS watch at that price point…
