I tried searching, but I didn’t have any luck. I have 3 mountain bikes and 3 road bikes that I’d like to store in the garage in a way that doesn’t take a lot of floor space. How does everyone else store their bikes in the garage.
Thanks!
Jim

This is how I do it. This isn’t my garage, but this Garage Gator 220 works really well for me. I can easily get four up. If I tried, I could do six without much trouble. Good luck!
I don’t keep mine in the garage at all. I read an article somewhere that the gasoline from mowers and other chemicals typically stored in the garage along with uncontrolled humidity causes a harsh environment for bikes.
I put a hook in the ceiling and hung them by the tire. They hang lengthwise against the back wall and are easy to take down. I can even store the lawnmower and snowblower underneath (11’ ceiling). I lean my most frequently used bike against the side wall, and have a cable lock looped through a eyebolt to secure it. Yes, it’s probably overkill but I like to leave the garage door open in the summer and don’t want some punk kid walking off with it. It’s a nice neighborhood, but you never know.

These are cheap, and they work great. I have had tri bikes, road bikes, and my 33 lb mountain beast on there, no problems. The only issue is that you can’t just grab it off the hook and be out the door in 15 seconds. It take 60 seconds or so to get down. For my commuter that I read regularly in the summer, I use this:
