FSA and SRM

Nice combo… I love FSA products and the SRM speaks for itself.

It looks like a Dura Ace crank wrapped in fake carbon decal.

This looks like a FSA Crank with SRM:

don’t think it is…as the crank is not hiding a bolt like the 10sp DA…

D/A 7800 does not hide a bolt, fyi

.

ooops…I stand corrected…but the FSA on the original post don’t have that slightly wider, rounder base like the DA 7800…anyway, just to say it’s not a DA10sp with carbon around it
.

Not sure I understand what you mean.

Additionally, the inside of the left crank arm looks rough, not like any FSA crank I have seen.

Dura Ace:

The “FSA” from Velo News: http://velonews.com/images/tech/8479.11891.f.jpg

That is a carbon sticker, look at the backside of the crank where the carbon does not mesh, I doubt FSA wouls put out a demo product that looks like this, also loof at the ‘ramping’ of the crankarm just above the bolt hole, on both cranks, it tapers the same

hah, you beat me to it!

I still want either of them…

While the one on Velo News does look like a Dura-Ace this one looks real:

yep. you’re right.

btw, when do you get RC+SRM???

Wow…

I REALLY hope the SRM pricepoint comes down a lil bit. Otherwise, I’ll have to bypass my new MTB and just bite the bullet.

That carbon sticker is awesome. Those lil rascles.

I hear Cannondale will be offering SRM outfitted bikes next year for little upcharge over this year. Sweet!

Can you imagine a carbon Slice Ironman frame w/internal cable routing AND oversized BB with SRM!!!

Amazingly SCHWING…

"when do you get RC+SRM??? "

shhhh!

The way that SRM now does their strain gauge set-up, it is relatively easy for them to make a third part unit like this. D/A-10 was the first. I’ve seen the new Cannondale Si one on a Synapse. The FSA one is logical. It’s not that hard for them to do these now that they’ve established machining and fabbing processes for it…

The FSA should be less expensive that the Dura Ace 10. FSA is making a crank just for the SRM as opposed to Shimano that SRM has to purchase and machine the spider off of.

My LBS has a awesome Cannondale 6-13 with a clearcoat finish to expose the carbon and alu lgus that came with factory SRM paired with a C-dale crank. It was maybe 16lbs. Beautiful bike. About $8k.
