I tried these on and thought they were the greatest shoes ever in the store. I ran in them and liked them a little less. Now I much prefer my Altra Adams for all running. Probably used 10 times or less for less than 75 miles. $50 plus actual shipping.
Are they the wide (2E) or the standard width?
I did not know they came in extra wide, but the tag has a D, so I would guess that would be standard. I have a very narrow foot and they are snug enough in the heel, but pretty wide in the toebox. The new generation of shoes with lots of space up front just end up feeling floppy to me.

Thanks. My foot measures a standard D width at the ball, but toe splay necessitates the wide (I have the Minimus Road in the 2E width, and it’s perfect – the D width was hideous).
GLWS.
Bump once for a nearly new pair of trail runners.
One more bump before I decide I have to use these up before I buy another pair of Altra shoes.
I also own a pair of Minimus Trail in size 10.
I usually wear a 2E shoe and this shoe fits well because of the wide toebox.
I’m a bigger guy, so my feet get pretty beat up when I try to run in them. I plan on trying them again once I’m no longer a Clydesdale.
Otherwise, highly recommended minimal shoe (but it’s not zero drop).
cdw, how do you like Altra shoes? Have you tried The Instinct? Is it a true minimal shoe or is it more of an in-betweener/transitional shoe?
