Front derailer TAB!

Purchased an '06 QR Seduza “frameset” from the ST Classifieds. It is missing the front derailer tab (you know, the little metal thing that the front derailer attaches to on the frame?). The seller has no idea what or where it is, QR will only sell one to me after the frame is inspected by an authorized dealer, which for me is a four hour drive.

What I had hoped would be a weekend build has turned into a huge hassel.

Any guidance or advice would be much appreciated… OR perhaps someone has one from a damaged frame they could sell me!?

Or someone maybe can have their bike inspected and send him the tab?

Sorry I can’t help, this sounds so stupid.

Is the tab supposed to be welded on, or part of the lay up of the CF? (Sorry didn’t look up that bike specifics)
Or is it just bolted into the frame??

As if I’ve ever seen you in the small chainring…

You’re right, it is a very stupid situation, as well as fustrating

From what I can tell the tab is screwed onto the frame. I suspect the person who stripped down the bike unscrewed the derailer tab along with the derailer. Somewhere out there is a front derailer with a useless metal tab screwed onto it.

Thanks anyway

Oh that small ring got plenty of use this weekend.

Missed you bro!

In theory I’d think that access to the tab mounting screws would be blocked by the dérailleur - so it’s less probable that the person who stripped the bike left the tab, but likely that he just got a little over zealous.

I’d give Demerly a call and see if he can hook you up. Him or fredly.
