Fronhofer tool triathlon?

Hi collective ST wisdom!

Does anyone know anything about this race other than what’s on the website? Has anyone done it? It’s slightly north of Saratoga Springs, NY, just in its second year. (I think it’s named after a local business.)

I am supposed to do the NYC Tri but may not be able to b/c of a temporary injury and am trying to find a replacement Oly tri within a couple weeks. There isn’t much still open… :frowning:

Also maybe looking at Park City Mossman (name right?) in Connecticut…

Thanks!

FWIW- I’ve done the Lake George Tri which is put on by the ADK Tri Club, and iirc , Paul Fronhofer is a member of that club.

He’s a real nice guy and a Kona vet…so considering how well the Lake George tri was organized ( IMHO, one of the best Oly’s going ! ) , I can only imagine how well his race is run.

After all he’s got his name on it. Lotta pride there.

Have fun.

Did not race it because of the closeness to LP but I belong to that club and agree with swordfish that it should be very well done. I would not have any reservations at all about it. Not sure of the exact course but that is a great area to ride in, think perfect rolling farmland.

This is a GREAT race!!! Like Chris G said, the country roads are nice with plenty of rollers. The run is pretty fast too!

They have a great post-race lunch, good awards, and a HUGE raffle. This year… nice SWAG too! Word has it, pretty good competition this year.

Only 3 days left to register online.

Thanks so much for the info… It doesn’t matter to me so much if there’s a lot of competition or not  being more of a MOPer but
everything sounds great! Deciding factor is logistics, so I’m still not sure. But if not this year it seems worth doing next one!
