Fringe benefits of Humana insurance (35% Garmin discount and $ for exercise)

For those that have Humana insurance, there are a few pretty nice side benefits that I recently learned about. The main one is “Go365,” which is a website and app that you can join if you have Humana.

The website allows you to purchase Garmin devices for 35% off. You can also link your training program to Go365, including Garmin, Strava, etc., and accumulate points for exercising, which in turn can be converted into gift cards. In the past month, I’ve earned $65 in gift cards for Amazon, although the annual benefit is capped at $300. It isn’t a huge amount, but it’s free coin in exchange for a little bit of effort to set up on the front end.

Lastly, Humana has a Dr On Demand app that allows you to have a doctor’s visit remotely. My wife used this while on our recent vacation in Maui when she had a cold. The doctor diagnosed her over a video call and then sent a prescription to a nearby pharmacy. I also mention this in light of the current virus outbreak. If I have any flu-like symptoms, I would start with Dr On Demand rather than expose anyone else by going to the doctor’s office.

I found that cigna has something similar but its only 20% I have been trying to find a way to get he 35% so I can get a 945 hahah. Cigna does not allow for much beyond watches / activity trackers though for example no cycling computers

Thanks for the info! I had Cigna and had no idea this benefit existed.

Humana / Go365 does give the 35% discount on the Garmin cycling computers as well.
