I ordered mine the day they were available and they arrived one week later, earlier than they said.
Same here. I ordered them mid-January, got them just a few days later. Have already used a few before going to visit my 80 y.o. in-laws.

You know the older we get the more mysteries we encounter. the answers just take a little longer making themselves known. Our test arrived by way of the old fashioned bought off of a shelf way. My wife took her test and convinced herself she was a positive until she then re-convinced herself that she had read it wrong and was in fact negative. No way was I stepping into that hornets nest with a question. A simple “that’s good.” worked. Mystery not pursued.
How do you read it wrong? It’s like a pregnancy test.

I think this is what happened for us. Maybe.
Our local family-owned pharmacy (not a chain) has been very proactive about contacting us and getting us in for our vaccine and booster shots. Of course they collected names and addresses and they sent records of who had gotten their shots off to the state DOH. I’m guessing either the pharmacy or the state DOH sent names and addresses off to whoever it is that is sending out the kits. They were mailed from Topeka, KS, with my name and our address on the mailing package label. We’re happy to have them.
Of course, I could be wrong (again).

I did not read it wrong. My wife read it and it has been a long while since she has used the pregnancy test. How did she read it wrong? I’ve learned the hard way. Some questions are better left not asked.
Sounds plausible. But I would wait for Big John to step up to confirm.
Yes, I did receive the confirmation email from USPS on Jan. 17 that my request was received but still have not received the subsequent email from them with shipping/tracking information. The free take-home tests we got were from the county (not fedgov), and they are still handing those out…free masks too. I posted a video about it in the other thread.
Well shit then, mystery solved. The county is supplying the tests, the federal government is late with tracking status, the masks are no longer required so we don’t care, and you are continuing to post videos.
And here I thought Alvin and I just had old man’s disease. But still we don’t know who’s on first base? Be careful there as there might be a copyright on that video.

The masks actually are still required here. That is a county law (or regulation or whatever). I think they are scheduled to reevaluate it next month though.

I just posted it through YouTube who scanned it for copyright claims. Basically if there is a copyright claim they just take it down…or it never goes up in the first place. I have had this happen on YouTube videos before…typically it is like if there is music on a radio playing in the background or it is a recording of a movie, TV show, etc.
Mini Moonrocket just took our first free government test this morning! It was negative. Glad she could do that after vomiting after basically eating a whole box of Girl Scout cookies (middle schoolers do weird things) and do extra curriculars this weekend.
… ah, yes
My kid did one of those “big brown burps” when quite young, after scarfing a packet of chocolate cookies
