My left shifter on trainer bike stopped shifting. It will pull the cable, just not lock into place for the big ring. Time to replace.
Anyone have an extra left SRAM force (suppose I could do rival or red too) 11s Front Shifter? This is the mechanical, not hydraulic, version
A common problem with SRAM. Take White Lightning Clean streak and spray into the body of the shifter and actuate the shifter. Let it dry. Then spray Boeshield T-9 into the shifter and you should bring it back to life for quit some time. I have done this three or four times before the shifter totally died. It adds a few years of life back into it.
I’ve actually done this same thing twice now to fix the shifter. Previously tho, it would shift and just get stuck.
This time, the only way I can get the bike to shift to big ring is stick a thin Allen key into the mechanicals to manually move the little “catchâ€
From there, the bike sticks in the big ring which is fine for erg mode rides
Would like to have a properly shifting bike
