In their defense, the search function was never very good in the first place.
Use Google and type your query as ________ site:slowtwitch.com for better results.

For instance, if I type in your username in the “Search String” box and my username in the “Only show posts made by” box, I pull up most posts where I’m responding to you. Google doesn’t have a corresponding feature.

I like to search the classifieds for particular bike I’m looking for and it doesn’t work for me anymore

I just tried today, and all search functions are down at this moment. Can’t pull up user post history; can’t pull up search strings.
In both cases, the page would take forever to load, before just informing me the following:

I use that function to self-plagiarize myself, all the time
That way, I don’t have to re-tell the same story/joke from memory; I just copy & paste from the last time I used it

To strengthen your question, if I click on your user name, I used to be able to see your user posts. That list also does not currently populate.

should be all good now. Our search indexer ran out of memory. Not sure why. This happens every so often, but like once every couple of years so no clear repro. We just relaunch the indexer. we use Apache Solr for search.
