When I did a search, my search word was highlighted! That was cool!

Phew! That was a brutal couple of hours! 
The search function is super fast now. But the results don’t come out in order of posting, they look pretty random. Or is there some way for us to change the order in which they are shown?

(Not that that will matter to me for a while, but it’s just really irksome to hafta do that every time)

I believe there is an option in your profile to set the default state. Click on “EDIT PROFILE” at the top of the page and look for the pulldown.
