Major Bummer.
First race in twelve years and it had to be the day of the big storms.
Got my start racing when I lived in Vegas and worked at the local shop but that was back in 1989-1993. Priorties had shifted and just started getting back into the training scene this past year.
Race director gave it his best shot and kept postponing the start for about four hours. There was one point when we were about 10 minutes from starting and then we got some more close lightning.
Better safe than sorry but still a bummer…“shaved and tapered” with nowhere to go!
Did meet some really cool people from all over the area and hope to run into them again down the road. (Jason and Sara from Birmingham…enjoyed the brief chat and hope to see you before I head home.)
