I have read numerous of your threads abd you say that you are faster on 650 wheels . . . why do you think you are faster on 650s from a techno stand point.
Also, would it be possible to come to Michigan and bring my existing bike for either a fit or a totally new bike . … Does one make an appointment or what?
Eric, for the second part of the question check out the shop site at www.bikesportmichigan.com and you will find a very comprehensive article on the services and benefits from a fit there. Also, you can get fitted to your existing bike or be fitted for a new bike.
Tom allways says that you are the fastest on the bike that fits you and your purpose. That may be a 700 or a 650. I’ve seen some of Tom’s bikes, some are 700’s and some are 650’s.
If you’re a short guy like me then 650’s may get you a better fit.
The reason I think I am faster on 650c wheels is that I see higher speeds at the same given heart rate. 650c’s fit me better in the aero posture- the bike handle better too, specifically, it is more stable, corners more predictably and climbs better out of the saddle since the top tube is lower.
