My sister has come through her second surgery unbelievably well. No way a 9mm can enter near your sternum on the left side and exit through your right buttock and you survive.
He came to kill us all

Well, I’ve got the first therapy appointment of my life tomorrow morning. But physically fine.
We have all said sentences that before Saturday would have sounded absolutely crazy, but are now just part of our regular life.

To give a few more details
The cast is
Steve, my oldest brother, Susie, a sister, Mary a sister and the victim, Cindy, a sister, Bob her husband, And John, the failed murderer
As for what happened. it went down Saturday. I was in town, but Steve and I had gone to Kalamazoo planning to return later that day. We were all going to get together Sunday to divide up personal property of my dad who died in November. Nothing of great value, just carvings and canes and such. We didn’t expect John until Sunday or Steve and I would not have left. Shortly after he got there John got in Mary’s face while she was sitting in a chair to intentionally pick a fight. She told him he was making her uncomfortable and to sit down. He sat down for like 10 seconds. He went out to his car, instantly came back to the living room and shot her from about 3 or 4 feet away. She fell out of the chair and he shot her again. My brother in law Bob got him to stop by walking up and pulling his arm down and he took off. It is pretty clear he didn’t mean to kill Bob. Cindy, Susie, Bob, and Mary were all sitting in the living room. Steve and I were targets too because as soon as he got there he asked where we were and when we would get back. Cindy is sure he was there to kill us all. Steve also found a message on his phone the day after where John was asking to meet him alone at Steve’s house, seemingly to take him out first.
It is an episode of Dateline.
There was a 2.5 hour time where we had no idea where he was. Everyone unaccounted for got holed up in hotels or anywhere out of their house. Then they got a ping from his cell phone a little over 50 or so miles away and finally caught him by use of FLOCK cameras in western Indiana on US 24
