Foot injury - how to avoid pushing off the pool wall?

I have issues with both feet that are made worse by pushing off the walls in the pool. I am looking for a way to effectively swim/turn - any suggestions? I realize I could just swim back and forth and just turn without using the walls but I mostly swim SCY which makes that less than desirable and also I lose the sense of what my times mean (relative to my own training history).

Any way, if you’ve dealt with something similar and have something that worked for you, let me know! Thanks.

Never had anything similar, but you might try doing your flip turns earlier than usual, so you just miss the wall. I do this by accident a couple times during any given workout - sucks when you’re trying to make an interval, or keeping time with the person in the next lane.

Is is the pointing of the feet after pushoff? You could try flipping a bit later, gliding backwards all the way to the wall with bent knees, and push lightly flatfooted?

This may seem pretty basic, but I really am being serious, just push off with less force. I have some days where I work on speed and really push, but others where I hardly push off at all.
I had a knee injury that always hurt when I pushed off forcefully but found if I just flipped and swam from the wall rather than pushing I was fine.

find and endless pool or some open water
.

open turns with a soft pushoff.

Failing that, swim on tethers.
