Fizik Tritone reviews

Has anyone tried the new Fizik Tritone saddle? I’m in the market for a new saddle and have been comfortable on the Arione for the past few years, but am curious about this one. My biggest question is what the width is like up front at the nose. I have tried getting my hands on a tester but haven’t had any luck yet. Any insight or reviews would be appreciated.

I got one about a week ago and have used it on a couple trainer rides so far. I had an Arione on my bike prior to that and I think it really feels like an Arione with the nose cut off.

I recently did a fit on a trek fit bike (to experiment with crank lengths and fit positions) and tried out a couple of saddles at the same time. The first one was the Tritone. I had high hopes (it looked comfy!) but it didn’t work for me. The nose was simply too wide. Don’t know the exact dimensions (you can find them if you have good google-fu). I ride an Adamo Road fwiw and it’s 90% perfect for me. Fiddling with a Bontrager RXL Speed Dial saddle as well.

The wide nose is my concern too. I’ll keep trying to find a demo to check it out first. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Has anyone had to move their saddle forward with the Tritone? I put one one a few weeks ago. Everytime i go out on the road, i feel like i am sliding off the front of the bike and killing my triceps pushing back on the aero bars…also, i am losing power on the computrainer, my quads are buring up after just a couple of intervals at 95% FTP, and i mean within like 10 minutes where as before i was doing long sessions at FTP, any thoughts or suggestions? I am riding a Giant Trinity Composite and just had the stock saddle on it before. I am also having IT band issues that I believe are from the bike but that has been happening since before i switched saddles and probably a different thread…

One arrived the other day and I’ve tried it with two fit clients so far - one quite liked it and the other lasted 30s. Neither had ridden snub saddles previously.
I set the fit bike in my position and had a sit on it - I doubt we’re going to have a beautiful relationship when I try it on the road, but I haven’t liked any of the snub saddles (Cobb SHC FTW).

As for needing to move it forward - it’s the shortest nose saddle I’ve ever measured - the setback should be much higher than a standard road saddle, unless you’re using it to overcome the limitations of shallow STA on a bike.

it is no shorter than the Ares, albeit a bunch wider at end at 55mm. I did not like it as the only reason to use it would be to rotate forward more and that experiment would require shorter cranks for me due to my bizarre body geometry

first time with a snub nosed saddle of any kind. coming from a prologo nago TT nack.

put my tritone kium on this past weekend with my fitter, raced my first 25k TT of the year, works for me. fit coordinates exactly the same as before, no need to move saddle more forward or rotate more forward. in fact, we had to lower the saddle slightly given the tritone is slightly taller (padding) than the prologo.

yes, will take my bones a bit to get used to the pressure, but nothing unbearable and certainly easier on the undercarriage than the ‘traditional’ tt saddle.

ISM variants too wide for me.

as an aside, fitter seemed to think it might work well for those with narrow-er hips and bones, but also said give it 2-3 weeks and then decide from there.

I just put the Airone Carbon Rail saddle on my Speed Concept and took it out for a 70 mile ride this weekend. I cam from riding a Fizik Airone and this saddle is awesome. No issues what so ever and a lot less moving around on the saddle. No pain points and I have had minimal saddle time over the last 3 months so fully expected the first ride over 2 hours in while to result in a little soreness.
