The Fizik Tritone was a saddle that would “almost work” for me in that it allows an anterior pelvic tilt but the width was just a few millimeters too wide when climbing in a seated position and the ridges on the saddle seemed to rub the wrong way on 4-5hr rides.
With the release of the Mistica, I’m wondering what Fizik has changed? The dimensions seem the same, so I’m not sure it will help with the width issue when climbing…
Does anyone have experience with both the Mistica and the Tritone?
I have both currently. Used the Tritone for a year or two. Got a new bike this summer and have the Mistica on that. I still use the Tritone on the trainer only. No issues switching between the two. I find the Mistica slightly more comfortable, but also haven’t gone over about 3 hours on that bike/saddle yet.
Where are you looking to compare widths? At the nose or further back on the saddle? I can grab some measurements for you. IIRC the contact points at the nose are slightly narrower on the Mistica.

I am basing the measurements off Fizik’s website which states 55mm nose and 241x135 for the saddle. I have yet to physically have a Mistica in front of me so I’m curious if the shape is different between the two. Specifically I’m wondering if the shape of the curve from the widest part of the saddle moving forward to the nose varies between the two models?
If you can measure the width of the saddles noses’ , widest part and compare the “thigh clearance” area between the two models that would be awesome.

At the nose I have:
Tritone: 2 1/4 inches
Mistica: 2 3/16 inches
So the nose is slightly narrower on the Mistica. I took a few pictures of each. The biggest difference I notice is the surface of the Mistica is a non slip material so there’s no sliding around. Snapped a few pictures with my phone. If I can figure out how to add them I will!
