I don’t have a way to try on locally prior to purchase…

I’m looking at a pair of Fizik Transiro Infinito r3 to replace my worn out Shimano TR-51s. I’m a 44 in my road, MTB (both S-Phyre) and tri Shimano shoes but have heard/read that I would probably be a 43 or 43.5 in Fizik.

Anyone have experience with sizing going from Shimano to Fizik?

Yep, you’ll need to go down in size. I wear a 45 in the Shimano S-Phyre and a 43.5 in the R4 Powerstrap. I really wanted the R3 that you are considering but I couldn’t get satisfactory heel lock down in that model…you might have better luck.
