Fizik Arione vs Aliante?

Anyone tried both and have a comment? I’m liking the Arione but wondering if the Aliante has anything extra to offer in ride quality…sure has something extra in the $$$$ department!

You can’t go wrong with either. Fizik has padding figured out and both are very good for the weight. I can’t answer for you which is better. The Aliente has a cup shape and limits your positions, the tip is fine for TTing though. The arione is longer and flat, so it allows you to slide back for hills, or to the front for the other hard things in life. The arione is more durable and costs less, the aliente weighs less. I like the flat saddle for road racing, but find more comfort for long rides on the aliente.

The Aliante has a stiff shell perimeter, but flexible center. This provides good support (no saddle flex or sag), but also pressure relief without the need for a saddle cutout which bothers some folks. It has a sweet spot as far as fore/aft positioning goes, but there is still some room to slide forward or back. Maybe just not as much as the Arione. I’ve used this on my TT bike with no comfort issues, but purchased a Tri Arione to test out since I need another Aliante for another road bike. I have not tested it yet to provide comparison yet.
