First ride on HEDs(or any carbon wheels): These just became my training wheelset :)

Well, I just picked up my first set of HED Jets 60/90 combo. Problem is… they’re super fast and butta smooth. Meaning, I don’t wanna ride my Ksyriums anymore :). I rode the roughest road in my county and threw some gravel patches(getting a feel for the wheels), and they’re significantly smoother than any other wheelset I’ve ridden. Feel free to tell me its the tires(Vredestein TriComps compares to the usual Rubino’s). Regardless, a new(and much more expensive) cycling window has been open to me.

Congrats on the wheels set, enjoy it!

Now for the bad side… Hed jets are basically a standard wheel with a carbon fairing glued on. The fairing doesn’t provide and ride quality aspects aside from aero effects. Then again, I think my 60 is smoother too.

after my first ride on Jet C2s and i sold all my Mavic Cosmics and Kysriums…I’m with you bro…hooked on the C2s…cant wait for the H3 to have the C2 profile…rather a Jet9 upfront than my H3
.

I agree…just bought my 60/90 combo yesterday with the maiden voyage today…“butta” to say the least!!!

You got me excited now. I just got a new set of Jet 60/90’s. Didn’t get the tires mounted yet.

Haha no doubt, they’re soooo smooth. I know it’s just a carbon fairing glued on :/… BUT somehow, it’s smoother. Waaay smoother. Anyone know how?

C2 rim widens out the tire and can add a bit o’ cush to the ride.
