First Ironman Store Purchase

Two weeks ago I made my first purchase at the Ironman store. I bought 3 shirts and 2 beanies. It came to a little over $200. I saw the 2 day priority shipping and figured I’d see my stuff in a few days. A week went by and no stuff. I looked at my confirmation email and saw that it said I’d be getting another email when it was preparing to ship. Since I hadn’t received the second email I realized my stuff wasn’t even close to arriving. I sent an email to orders@ironmanstore asking for an update. No answer. I waited another week and sent another inquiry. No answer. The good news is my credit card hasn’t been charged so at least I’ve not paid for it yet.

How do you put items on your web site for customers to purchase and then not ship them within 2 weeks? How do you not response twice to inquiries from your customers about their purchase? How can you be so successful at conning me into blowing over $200 on overpriced mdot clothing and then not close the deal?

Did you ever try calling them before coming on here and posting an angry rant?

My wife said the sports bras are on backorder.

If there is a number to call on the web site, I couldn’t find it, and there was no number in my email confirmation, only an email address, which I sent an email to twice and got no response.

well, you got me there, thanks. Doesn’t change the fact though that I don’t have the stuff that was advertised on the web site and that they didn’t response to my emails.

Things happen. Give them a call

Technology is a bitch…

Haha, I placed my first order a couple weeks ago as well for 3 pairs of Wigwam socks. But only a single pair arrived, and the box was marked as containing 3.

I just e-mailed them about it last night, so hopefully they’ll resolve it.

For my order mess up, I actually did call, left a message, but never received a call back.

I’ve had at least three screw-ups with these guys over the last couple of years, I found a way to solve the problem though; I created a rule in Outlook that marks email from them as Spam and it goes directly to my Trash… haven’t had an issue since

Just called an left a voicemail. Seems though like a pretty rinky-dink operation for a company as big as Ironman.

I’m in the same boat. Order placed Dec 5. Contact Us email sent Dec 15, follow up email couple days ago. Nothing shipped, no response. That is some pretty darn crappy customer service, no matter how you slice it.

Also, it’s a Christmas gift for someone, which makes it a little more frustrating… Ironman - anybody out there?!?

Mine was a Christmas gift to myself. Was planning on wearing my new Sugoi Core Zip to a party this Saturday as an Ironman conversation started. Not happening now.

I’ve had the same problem with them. I complained, and they said their policy is that it’s two days shipping after the order is processed, and it takes 5-7 days to process an order. They said this is written in small print somewhere on their website.

It’s a crock to call it “2-Day Shipping” and charge extra, when it’s really just 9-day shipping instead of their standard 10-11 day shipping.

I’m sure that as long as you cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it, they’d be glad to refund you 25% of your purchase amount.

I’m at 13 days, so much for 5-7 days to process and 2 days to ship.

I guess all their resources have been focused on acquiring the B2B event. No one in the office to process and ship purchases.

I ordered a finisher jacket that took awhile to ship 2-day and when I finally got it and opened it, they sent me the wrong dang race! I would not have been so mad except for their lack of shipping speed and paying attention ended up with me getting absolutely nothing. They had all the sizes available for quite some time (I kept checking in case I needed an exchange in size) until of course I actually received the item and needed to exchange it and oh gee look, they are now sold out. So I got a refund and a simple, oh yeah sorry about that error. Nice. Thank you. I’ll just get another one at…?

I can’t tell you how many complaints I have seen about the IM store and their customer service and especially right now. I called and got someone right away which I’m thinking was pretty lucky unfortunately in the end it didn’t help me.
