Finally. A great looking Cervelo

I know, I know, function over form etc., but I have never been a fan of Cervelo graphics. This limited edition TDF bike looks cool though. Nice and understated and I love the gloss black paint.

I have to say, I know the TDF color is yellow. But this looks like a Livestrong bike.

When I was a kid, my second BMX bike was a Torker. This bike lookes like that. When I was 8, it was really cool…not so much now. Although if the line was red…that might be cool.

It looks just like the Boardman frame.

yawn… just like all the other Cervelo colors/graphics.

And I own one. The black/grey s3 frame is the best I have seen from Cervelo. By “best”, I mean it sucks less than the others.

That’s a great looking bike. You know how much this frame runs?

3x’s a week. A speed workout on Tuesdays, a tempo run on Thursday, and a long run on Sundays.

According to Desert Dude, that’s not nearly enough. I bet that frame would improve a bunch if it added more run frequency. It’s not even scratching the surface at that volume.

that’s the colour scheme Sastre should have ridden last year. It’s going to look a bit silly this year when he rides it and another guy is wearing yellow.

how could that happen? he will have the massive aerodyn…wait he tends to ride the r3

=)

It would look pretty badass with those new black/yellow Rotor cranks someone posted (that have Carlos’ name on them).

Steve

from cyclingnews.com :

Only 50 of the R3-SL frames, the bike that Sastre rode in most of last year’s Tour stages, will be produced worldwide, and will come with a signed Carlos Sastre yellow jersey as well as a certificate of authenticity. If you can get hold of one, it’ll set you back £3099.99 – just £100 more than the standard R3-SL model.

here’s the crank

Why do so many people give a crap about what their bike looks like? Maybe I’m missing out on something here, does color scheme affect the bikes performance? Or are there more gay triathletes than those that admit it?

so it turns out that people have interests in more things than just functionality

this explains things like, music, painting, big boobs, and so on.

I would argue these are very functional.

they work fine when small

Is that the same seat post as last years?

Or is the UCI torture in these last months making me see things?

Sergio

You, my friend, are clearly not a female triathlete…

…and I would guess your point of view would align with that of the other “hotness” thread debating female triathletes currently d-bagging it up (that tri chicks aren’t hot)…

It was a joke, calm down.

Well said! When you get to be as old as I am you appreciate both form and functionality–sometimes one over the other…but always both have their merrits.
