I ditched the Calpak cover, put my spare tube, levers, and a small multitool under, then mounted the Dark Speed Works bento on top of it. I have two co2’s inside and room for nutrition. This is what I will stay with until Felt comes out with something designed for the IA

This breaks my heart every time I see it (but I don’t blame you).
This thing has been a problem since Day 1. Come on, Felt, get your shit together.

I know but the way Felt sends the bike out the Calpak is pretty useless. Even the bottom half; why can’t it be deeper and flat? They promised a new Calpak before Spring. It sure would be nice, along with a Felt designed draft box.

If I remember correctly it was originally promised in the first half of this year. Now it might be early next year. I have no confidence it will happen at all.
My intention was to fabricate something myself this year but I haven’t gotten around to it. I might well do something early in the new year. I like the chances of me doing something better than the chances of Felt fixing the very obvious flaw in their design. It’s a huge flaw in an otherwise very nice bike.
It’s hard to love a bike with such an obvious and irritating character flaw…
